Will the Icon cotroller work for a supercharged 95 5.2 Dak application at 6# boost using 93 octane?

Is it needed?

If so, is it user friendly?

I know the more timing acvance that can be used under boost = more horse power.

Been using the 4001 Race-ICON for over a year now. Yes, it will work but you'll need (preferably) a laptop to program it as well.

The timing comment it somewhat correct. You can run more...but you'll need to make sure everything is tuned properly to take full advantage of this (polished bowls is a BIG plus for this).

I have access to a lap top.

What does your timing curve look like?
How much timing do you retard at max boost?

I know a custom timing curve is needed for peak horse power with a proper fuel supply while staying in the parameters of a safe tune.

I do not like the way the MSD boost retard works and it would seem to cost a good bit of hp.

I would like to do some work on the heads but I'm going to wait until I absolutely have to take it apart for a serious problem. Not for a long time.

Thanks

My curve starts at 2000rpm (-.5) and gradually retards to -2 degrees at 4000rpm. This is the curve I use running 10# boost and Super Unleaded with one can of octane booster.

If you have the Superchips software, I can send you my curve to play with.
