Subject: Stroking a 3.9 for extra cubes IP: Logged
Message: I would like to know if anyone has increased the stroke on a 3.9 engine? If yes, where did you get the crank from.
Has anyone installed a Chevy 4.3 90 Degree V6 in a Dakota with success?
My Dakota is a 90 4x4 3.9 with a manual 5 speed.
Thanks in advance,
Shark
P.S. There is no replacement for displacement.

(1) Unless you have a custom crank built for the 3.9L, there isn't anything available. (At $1500+ for a custom "stroker" crank - steel - that's too much money.)
(2) Ok...that's Sacrilege!! ;)
P.S. There is to a point: Positive Displacement (Super/Turbo Chargers)
