Subject: What does it take to beat a V-8 IP: Logged
Message: Without a supercharger that is. Assuming there is no mods to the V-8. I am soon to get a flowmaster and have K&N and a TBS.
Any input would be appreciated.

Message: nitrous, headers, intake, TB, etc...Bernds truck
looks pretty fast, but he has nitrous and a
supercharger. Unless you have a toyota v6,
then I think you're outta luck. Check out the
new sport truck magazine, they have an 01 s-
runner with limited slip, TRD supercharger,
and it ran almost even with the lightning (on
the road to vegas) they are in the middle of
adding NOS. God help me if I ever pull up
next to a TRD s-runner!

Message: yeah, get an R/T throttle body. Hey CW, do you
have the 68mm throttle body on your dak?
Mine has, and I was wondering how to get it
ported? I really dont want to do it myself, but if
there Is a sure way of doing it, i would try.

Message: There is a nasty lip before the throttle blade that I got rid of makes for more power all the way to 5000. Just make the TB entrance the same size as the throttle blade. TIP: port it with the throttle blade in place and you can't port anything that you are not supposed to. I used a dremel tool with 60 grit sanding rolls. Yes I have the 68mm for now.

(The new long block should be good for about 250HP N/A and then there's the blower and about a 60-75HP shot of "Baby Bottle" juice on top of that.)

Message: Hey Bernd.
How much of a difference did moving the battery make in terms of launch and hookup. Last fall I moved mine to the space between the wheelhouse and the tailgate on the pass side and am curious what kind of improvement to expect.
Thanks in advance.

Message: I'm trying...tell Marty that :). I was considering differnt pistons...but school bills came in....and well they money just wasnt there. Marty said he could custom cut me a set off ross pistons to give me a true 10:1 compression have a .040 quench clearance with out any block work...sounded damn good but couldnt afford it. :(
just have to make up for its short comings with forced induction...hehe...and that 500 lb weight advantage over you doesnt hurt either..if the motor makes 200 at the wheels I'll be happy

Message: Moving the battery, in my case, was to allow for more underhood room (Intercooler Resovoir and pump). It didn't make all that much of a difference since i'm using a Optima Battery (much lighter than the lead/acid batteries). In road racing, every pound helps though.
Dodgeboy, without the nitrous...she makes 211HP at the rear wheels.

What made you change the per-runner look?It must ride and handle better than before I would say.Hey Bernd would like to see you do a project on a RT truck, like throw a way the school buss engine and put in a 383 or 440 block with the intake set up from the {360}engine.What do you think about that?
PS Bernd nice to see you back to the this web site, when you speck ever one listens.

Message: Bob, my latest times are under my signature (14.55@96.01mph). Yup, the ride was fun in PreRunner form, but at 70mph...the front end was all over the road/track. Plus, I missed the slot-car type handling. :)
I wouldn't mind seeing a 383 in these trucks...but there's a few mid-10 second and 11 second R/T's out there...on the 360 (or 408). I know it's already been done with a carb, but i'd rather see a fuel injected 340 in these trucks.
