What is the red line on a 2001 4.7? The tach goes to 7000 but there is no mark that shows any kind of red line.

The rev limiter cuts in at 5500 so I guess you could call that redline. Don't push your engine that hard for a while, though until it has a chance to break in.

I'm not pushing my engine that hard yet but I was curious. You would think that they would put some sort of mark on the tach. 5500 seems kind of low for a rev limiter. Most engines red line a few hundred rpms befroe the limiter kicks in. I just figured this engine would rev higher than that. Thanks Chuck.
