I have a 2000 4x4 sport 3.9L. Is a jet chip hard to install? How much do they go for? where can i find them? and finally does anyone recommend them. Any tips would be helpful. Thanks, John

I to have the same truck, i have a jet stage II, and i absolutly love it! If you have a modified exaust, intake and 180 thermastat then you can get the stage II which accourding to many around here is the only one that really works. you may also consider getting a IAT adjuster from Bernd its alot cheaper (about $30) and many people say its about the same. The jet chips go for about $218 at truckperformance.com.....oh..and extreamly easy to install.

I'll have to second Xphile1999's post. I have a 98 dak V6 4x4 and installed a Jet Stage II chip and love it as well. There are mixed responses regarding Jet products and there performance on various vehicles, but consensus is that for the 3.9L the Jet Stage II chip (not Stage I)works remarkably good. Bernd's IAT adjuster is supposedly a pretty good investment for our V6's as well. Does a similar job as the Jet chips do and is quite cheaper ($30 versus $150-200). If I were you I would try Bernd's IAT adjuster first since it is so inexpensive ( I haven't yet though since I bought my Jet chip before the IAT came out). Good luck.
Look on E-bay for the chips. You can get them for under $150 usually....I did. VERY EASY to install, basically a plug and play device.
