Message: I just got off the phone with Pat at Houston Drivetrain.
He said he ordered the gears last week and they are not in yet. Hmm....
Says they should be in any day and I will schedule an install. He claims it will take about 2 hours with a specific appointment. It seems like yours took around 4 hours.
Are you still satisfied with yours? Have you had a chance to check effect on MPG?
I'll keep you posted.

Message: i dealt with a guy named johnny.
back when they did mine, he told me that it was the only set that he had left for the 9.25 rear-end, so i am sure that they are not just feeding you any B.S.
it took em' about 3 hrs to do mine. but thats not to say that they started on it IMMEDIATELY after i dropped it off, for all i know they had to clean out a stall or something.
i havent officially kept up with my mileage, as far as numbers, but it actually seems to be a little better. usually i would fill up on monday and have to refuel by friday, but now i am able to go another day or so, but i also started to drive around town with my overdrive turned off, so that might help too. keep in mind that i have the 4.7 liter, im not sure how much of a difference there is between our engines.
FYI,i have heard from some people that you dont have to break in new gears, they say it is a new myth or something.......i wish i would have known that when i got mine installed...lol
but most people take it easy with the gears just for "piece of mind"
let me know how it all turns out
