Subject: tranny sensors IP: Logged
Message: I have heard several people on this forum talking about a sensor on the transmission failing, and causing the trans to not shift between 1st and 2nd gear. I am referring to an automatic, by the way. Can anyone tell me if, and where, you can buy this sensor. My truck hits the rev limiter, and will not shift out of 1st when at WOT. I would like to try to replace this sensor if it is available.

Message: The price for a output speed sensoris $25 at my local dealer. It is really simple to change, just unscrew old one and screw in new one.

Message: I believe there is an input sensor on the trans as well. I know its there on the intrepid. Anyway its a good idea tho replace both sensors if that is the problem to avoid the chance of any headaches in the future
