Hmmm, I consider myself well informed and have the chip...took it off, the truck just seems sluggish without it, put it back on, back to the same performance level I've come to know and love.
So, you guys with the bad 'opinions' on the chip, have you actually owned one and followed the recommended mods (except 93 octane, don't need to waste money on that) and felt your truck ran better without it?

Mace, I know the chip worked for you. But overall, most people have reported little to no improvement. Fess up if you could only choose one thing would it be the IAT adjuster or the Jet Chip? Or would you be better off saving your bucks for a reflash.

I've seen a few posts here (besides mine) were other 4.7 owners swear by (and not at) the Jet Chip II as well.
But you're right a reflash would most likely be the best bet, providing one could do without their PCM for awhile.
Timing comes into play for me...I found out first about the chip before the IAT adjustor...also, the chip works in temps below 65, the IAT does not.
BTW, any cool mods in store soon?

Yea, I read back on the 4.7/jetchip posts and you got yours A LONG time a go. Just so happens got the house sold TODAY! So, It looks like this spring the truck is gonna be changing! I think I got pretty lucky with my dremel and opening up the breathing. And I know Traction/handling are an issue. So I'm gonna do a 2/3 drop springs/shackles. I'll try to find a good deal on some wheels and a swaybar. Finally gonna get the Checkerpro tonneau next month. OK OK I fess up you were right about the modding its addictive! But, it was a good little truck stock!

Ah, looks like some good mods in the future...who says Christmas only comes once a year.
You're right, you can have goobs of power at your foot tip, but if ya can't hook it up, what good is all that power?
