Pretty sweet swap, but that had to cost an arm and a leg. Still its definitly one of a kind and that counts for a lot in my book.

I guess I would be more interested in putting in that 5 cylinder Mercedes motor and switching over to diesel Any thoughts on that ? Need more torque than 4.7 can put out at low rpm

You can probably shoehorn one in but as to whether it would be practical or even driveable is another matter. With the engine length how about cooling? Will it interfere with the radiator - or will there even be room for a radiator? The whole drivetrain would have to be beefed up. Hmmm, and what good is it if you can't get traction in a light Dakota? I remember reading an article about a 426 hemi put in a Dak and they had a lot of problems - especially with that cooling problem.

I saw my first SRT 10, a ram Quad cab, with a cab high shell on the bed. Brown.
I passed it, cruising mind you, in my gas sipping Mazda Protege, going South on Tx Hwy 288.
It looked cool!
