I am looking to put a set of headers on my 93 4x4 Dakota w/318. Are there any good ones out there for $200 or less? I live in California, so I need some that would be smog legal. On my exauhst manifold there is a hard line that bolts in on the passenger side manifold, what is this thing and do I have to worry about it when I put on the headers? Do I have to cut the exauhst down pipe to accomidate the new headers? What are some brands?

Check out summit racing.They have some headers for adout 160.00. The hard line your talking about is for the egr valve.The headers will have the same hookup.

jc whitney has them pretty cheap too, as well as summit, just remember that the cheap ones won't come ceramic coated so they will rust on you...when you buy them make sure you ask them if they are a direct bolt on and emmissions legal...
