Message: I have a spintech 3" in - 3" out. I dumped it right after the muffler at first, but it was too much. I now have dual out the back with it and it sounds great, louder compared to my buddy's 2 chamber flowmaster dumped. This is on a 4.7 also.

Message: The new Truckin' Magazine has a section on a SpinTech true dual exhaust setup.
Hey, teamfast, I have a Ravin setup that exits before the rear tire. I should warn you that it's pretty tricky with the clearance, unless you are getting a kit? The guys at the muffler shop had to run my pipe under the front of the rear leaf spring mount, so needless to say the exit pipe was hanging quite low. Too low for me, so I took it back. They cut off my factory hanger, pushed the muffler farther up and welded in two new hangers. This way they could turn the pipe out before the leaf spring mount, however, it's still sort of low because it has to go under the chassis and there's not much room to bend it back up and straight so it can be nice a flush with the body. So, my pipe is kind of low, but when I get around to it I'm going to try and see if I can get the pipe up higher so it's nice and flush with the body.
I have no idea in hell how this guy got his pipe(s) so close to the body???

Message: Yeah, I was thinking that, but I wasn't sure if a pipe could be bent with that much precision as to come out of the muffler, bent to the side while going under the frame (in a U shape) then bent back straight (so it's not pointing up) and then out the side (preferable at an angle, which mine isn't, mine goes straight out). So, when I get a chance, I'm going to see if the local muffler shop can pull this bit of trickery off.

Message: Ohhhhhhhh, I like. I see how they have the pipes bent. They go under the frame, then back up and are swept back all in one bend. Very slick. I wonder if a muffler shop would be able to pull off something like that for me. Mine is so boring; I like how it exits before my rear tire, but it sticks out straight to the side. I like that swept back look.
Interesting how your exhaust enters and exits the same side. I bet that really saves on space, cause I can attest, it's really cramped down there, with cross bars, axel, driveshaft, leaf spring mount et al to worry about.

How do you think the side exit (before the
wheel) system would look on a 4X4 extended
cab? Also, how loud are spintechs compared
to other catback set ups?
Thanks!

Message: The truck in those pictures belongs to Rick Gindoy in SoCal. Pretty sweet truck, and it hauls ass too. He has a blower, NX, and all the bolt ons. Last time I spoke to him, he was running mid to high 12's (that was before the NX).
The exhaust in that picture is the new true dual spintech set up. It has 2 down pipes that bolt directly to the headers and run back to 2 mufflers that are side by side. Then it exits over the frame rail.
If somebody knows how to post a picture, let me know and I'll email the pictures from Spintech to you.
Wesley

Message: The Exhasut on Rick's truck(the red one in the pics) isn't the true dual kit. It's just the dual exit single 3" catback that they sell from the website. The pipes go OVER the top of the frame, then back down and out the side. I also have a Spintech exhasut onmy truck, and have a .mpeg of it I can email if anyone wants to hear it. My email addy is hskr@attbi.com just put Spintech in the subject. Oh, and all the Spintech cat backs use the factory hangers!!!!
