i dont think any one car company is the "greatest". each company has its problems (check out the dakota lemon page), and shiny stars (heard about a bone stock viper running mid 11's and stock dakota R/T's deep in the 14's)
i have always been a mopar fan (my dad and grandad rubbed off on me). never liked chevies, or the aditudes of the owners who drive them. ever notice how everyone talks about how good a driver earnheart was, but no one remembers when the winged mopars DOMINATED nascar untill the hemi was outlawed!
EVERY top fuel and funny car engine is based on the chrystler hemi design.
i also like mopars because they are rare. everyone that i talk to has a friend or relitave that has a 57 chevy, or a 69 camaro. when i say i like the 65 dodge, or even a 70 cuda, no one knows what the he11 im taking about.

Not the greatest but to most Dakota owners...the coolest. Like kota said...there are no "greatest". I've owned an 82 Toyota Cressida, a 94' Nissan v6 4x4, a Jeep Cherokee Limited, and now a 00' 4.7L Dak. Next to my Dak the Nissan was very cool. I'd probably own one now if they didn't look like a tonka toy. The Nissan was tough. I could beat on it all day and it would still keep kickin. Now I have my Dak and its even cooler than the Nissan even though its not a 4x4.

i am a big mopar fan but i would not turn down a buick grand national,63 split window,ford cobra or other ( fill in a model)but if i had my choice it's mopar all the way! what spoiled me is when i was a kid my brother drag raced mopars(63-330 w/ a 440,68 dart-- 440) so all his buddies raced mopars also ( hemi roadrunners,64/65 super stockers)needless to say i haven't been to the strip in 25 years! some day this comming summer i am taking my dak to the track but i have a feeling it's not going to be the same.

BECAUSE... They use high quality steel in the body that does not RUST into oblivion in 5 years where roar salt is used.
I know of NO OTHER AUTOMAKER (except perhaps mercedies Benz) that resists rusting as well.
BTW... Saturn does not count because they use PLASTIC bodies.
