i am going to buy an msd 6a or 6al ignition and a pcm for my '93 dak but the question is which one do i buy first??? also i heard that the pcm don't really improve performance on the 5.2L, is this true or what????thanks...

I have the performance PCM, it does work, works very well. I don't have dyno numbers to prove it but go to www.fast4x4.net and check his dyno sheets to see.

The PCM's have been known to provide extra performance...never heard of them not doing anything. I'd go with the PCM first.

If you want a Mopar Performance PCM you'll need to search for one. Mopar discontinued PCM's for 4X4's last year because people were using them to tow and destroying their engines and wanting DC to replace them. There may be some dealers with a few left or someone may be selling their truck and willing to sell it to you separately. Another option is to ship your PCM to Mike Leach & Company and it can be custom-flashed for you for ~$500.
