Message: A little off topic.
Bernd, I noticed on your web site that your Dakota now has 3.90 gears. Did you recently swap out the 4.10s? Did your performace improve with this gear change?
I still have not decided between the 3.9 or the 4.1 gears for my 2001 5.9l QC Auto.

Message: ah...I remember now. Sounded like a cool set up. By the way...don't know if you are interested but I got an e-mail from Guice at G-forced and he said they were having problems with the intake they are developing for the 4.7L. Something about the PCM not liking the amount of O2 coming in. weird huh? He said there was to much. Sounds crazy I know

Message: I just picked up my 02 Dakota Dec. 12th, and I like to read any TRUE info for the 4.7L. My Budget is a little less then I have planned, so mods will be a few weeks late, but information is always nice to know

Message: Yup...i'm here. Got totally swamped with the holidays, computer crash (had to send the drive out for recovery), and back orders.
I swapped out to the 3.90's for the slightly better RPM's at 75mph (now 2700...was 3000). I also have a new posi unit as the old one ate itself up with the new found HP from the Nitrous and S/C boost. (You should see the spider gears: every tooth has gouges in it, the clutch pack was history, and the posi unit has a slight crack in it.) The 8.25" posi doesn't seem to like 300+HP anymore. ;)
The new unit is a H/D Dana (we tried the Auburn Posi and it didn't fit properly).
