Message: Wonder why your 4.7L 5-speed seems as powerful as the 5.9L other than the less parasidic drive train loss? Check out 1st gear 4.04 Vs 2.45! Even the 45RFE on the 4.7L has a higher ratio of 3.0 for starting out. Fear 4th gear on the 46RE of 0.69!
MANUAL, FIVE-SPEED
1st 4.04
2nd 2.33
3rd 1.39

Message: so a 5.2 or 4.7 with a 5speed and 3.55 gears should still have an advantage over the R/T. right?

Message: from what I have seen yes but you have to shift it pretty good to beat a r/t.
