Alright I recently purchased a new truck and am kind of new to this. My mods so far are Jacobs Pro Street Ignition, Modified TB, Gibson Headers, Flow Master Mufflers,ASP underdrive pulleys, K&N Gen II induction. What I need help is in the engine control "computer" Dept. I have been told the only chip out there is the JET chip I was told by several people that it wont work with my jacobs ignition, So I called Mopar Performance hotline and the stated "We stopped making performance computers in 2000" So where can I go now?

Help

I've heard mixed results from the Jet chips for the R/T's... Supposedly Stage I is completely worthless, and even the Stage II is close to that.

Unfortunately nobody else makes a computer that you can truly 'buy' like the old 98-00 Mopar PCM's, nor are any of the aftermarket settings as good as the Mopar ones. Below are a couple of websites where you can remove and mail your computer to for a reprogramming session, but each one will run you at least a few hundred dollars. Each company has improved their programming along the way so contact them for specific details, but as far as I'm aware none of them do the whole rev limit/speed limit/timing/tranny/etc. alterations like the Mopars do.

www.asechips.com
www.kennebell.net

Mike Leach does a reprogram of the PCM's as well, but typically for supercharged applications.

www.hypertech.com is supposed to come out with a product "someday" for the 2001+ model years.

I got a 2001 R/T and was wondering about the PCM's too and I called up the dealership and they said they usually don't come out w/ the PCM's of the current year until the year after. He said they should be coming out sometime next year. So far I have an Airaid intake, 52mm F&B TB, Flowmater 40, JBA 9mm wires, Accel Coil...my next upgrade was gonna be either the PCM or the 1.7 rollers. From what I heard about the 1.7's I'm thinkin that'll be my next mod.
