How does the Intense intake compare to the K&N ?
I heard that the K&N has the plastic around the screws and they crack ? ?
 any feedback would be helpful..

Message: Started out with the IP stage II and upgraded to the stage III. The system is nice but I recently switched to the K&N Gen II. I can tell you that the power difference is very noticable with the K&N. The IP uses the stock airhat which is full of baffles and creates a total restriction to the flow going in. Also, the IP setup uses a 3" diameter intake tube that does have a bend while the K&N uses a 4" tube which is straight to the airhat that is restriction free. I actually fitted the stage III filter canister to my K&N tube and used the 9" bigmouth S&B cone filter instead of the 7" K&N.
There have been a few instances where the K&N tubes do crack, but K&N replaces them no questions asked...hence my new K&N tube. heh
