Message: I'm going through the same problem with pickup.
Rebuilt engine, trans, and new plugs, wires, dist cap. Could there be a problem with the spark control computer? I've set the timing with the vacuume line on the SCC disconnected, when i connect it the timimg jumps off the scale.
Where do i go from here???

Message: MarkbA, have you considered the Carter
BBD? It came with the solenoid and
feedback and without. If you got one with
the solenoid and the feedback, it would
essentially be plug and play, but
considerably more reliable and if you get
one off of a mid 80's Mopar V8, more CFM.
However, it you don't mind messing with
things, you could try the Holley 2300 2BBL
which is rated at both 350CFM and 500CFM
