Ok, so i'm a complete newbie, and need some serious help. I need to install a 180 deg. tstat and i know the process, but i (this is embarising) dont know where to drain some of the coolant, is it at the base of the engine block? if so do i have to remove the plastic piece on the bottom of my truck? and how do i locate it? I looked for a drain on the radiator, but cant find it. I have a 2000 3.9L. The trucks manual is no help, neither is my chiltons repair manual.
