Subject: what brand gears for 5.9 qc IP: Logged
Message: Anyone have a reccomendation on a quality gear set. I have been told to go to the dealer even though it will cost more. apparently, after market gears are not made with as tight quality control, and are of lesser quality. any suggestions?

Message: Daimler Chrysler does not make their own ring & pinon gear sets! Most of what goes on a car or truck is not made by the company selling the vechile. The company selling the vechile just assembles the pieces that have been out sourced. American Axle, Dana, TRW, Detroit Gear.....are a few of the companys that make gears sets for both after market and OEM use. As long as you go with a repuatable company you will be ok. Try Costal Diff, or Weider Raceing. The 4x4 magazines have a bunch of diff. companys listed in back.
