Message: I have a simple question:
Is there any performance to be gained by replacing the airhat stud assembly with an "s-bolt"?? It looks like the s-bolt would be smaller and let more air around it to the Throttle body.
Thanks
btw- I have a cat-back, air intake, taylor wires, 3923's 180 stat and a Jet st1 chip on a 99 5.2 4x4 with 3.92 gears

Message: Yes, it does help a little. Nothing drastic, but it does help. It can be done in less than 30 minutes, and for less than $2, so it is worth it.

Message: I did it too. It can't hurt and it takes so little time to do it. I used threaded rod, bent to the shape needed. But I also used a nut on the rod to hold its position against the throttle body once I had it in position.
