Subject: Tornado Fuel Saver, Crapper or Keeper? IP: Logged
Message: I've seen the Tornado advertised that it can increase your fuel economy and acceleration by making airflow less resistant. Does anyone own one of these or know anything about whether or not it really works or is worth the cost? Information can be found at www.tornadofuelsaver.com. This is a small metal fin blade device that inserts into your magnum airflow (stock) tube and circulates the air so it passes through easier. Any truth to this? IF you know of something that works better please let me know. Thank you!

Message: I saw this info-mercial this weekend. It looks pretty interesting, although that price of $69.95 makes it look a lot less intersting. That's quite a bit for a small round piece of metal. The swirling air test sure looked good though, a lot more air flow. They say it will pay for its self, but after how long? They got like 20hp from 1986 Nissan Maxima if I remember correctly. It probably had rats, dirt, and bee hives in it the before the pre-tornado test. A tune up and a tornado later I bet it made 20 more hp. My vote: if ya got the money, try it. Me? nah.

Message: When combined with the FuelMax and a TB spacer you will notice an 85% increase in both HP and MPG! Why Detroit hasn't started putting these deals on all their vehicles is beyond me. Now if your driving after smoking some Temple Kiff and taking Herbal Viagra the effect can be truely awe inspiring. Now if you take this posting and forward it to ten of your freinds, Bill Gates will pick you to beta test his new version of Windows and send you $1000.00 plus $100.00 for everyone that the message is forwarded to. Its true! This lady whowas a nurse in LA made over $100,000! Incidentally she attended to both Richard Gere during the the gerbil incident and Rod Stewart's stomach pumping. It's all true I read about it on the web!

Message: I was silly enough to buy one of those things for my 3.9 Dak ansd found that it decreased my gas milage by 1 MPG and made it even more sluggish than it already is. And i had to fight with them to get my money back whne i tried to use there "30 Day Money Back Guarentee". It is a waste of money

Message: Kind of funny....they say that it helps HP and fuel mileage by reducing airflow resistance but you are actually installing a piece of metal crap that increases resistance. Might as well remove your intake tube and replace it with some garden hose....it would have about the same effect.

Message: if you think about it it would do nothing because its supposed to increase fuel economy but it wont because it goes in front of the butterflies in the throttle body and that right there screws the whole (swirling air)idea. the only way it MAY help is if you were at wide open throttle and the air went straight into the cylinders but at wide open throttle you may not get better gas mileage.... but im not sure.haha
so for my vote CRAPPER. throw it at someones car a couple times while its parked and make dents in it that might be worth the 70 bucks

Message: This is a piece of junk, it is marketed at the consumers that do not hold any common car knowledge. I dont see how the "swirling air" is going to get past the throttle body butterfly, or the carb butterfly, unless you are totally wide open throttle, think about it?
My vote= CRAPPER!

Message: Thank you all for noticing the major flaw in the technology. The butterfly valve will completly destroy your vortex. Your better off with the aircleaner directly over the intake. Aerospace is my game. The air box and accordian hose create all the resistance and turbulance in the set up. Am installing an airbox on the intake my self. Just an opinon in a sea of thoughts.

Message: Take it from a sucker. I bought one for my 4.7 Dak
SNAKE OIL is all it is, $70.00 U.S. That I shoulda got a hooker with, at least then I woulda gotten screwed and blown too.
DIRECT PORT electronic fuelies operate at a pre-set air/fuel ratio, as soon as you increase or decrease the air flow, the computer will adjust the fuel flow to maintain that ratio.(I learned this in hindsight) DON'T MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE THAT I DID. GO BUY $70 WORTH OF BEER, AND GET REALLY REALLY DRUNK. at least then you will have a better reason than I do for feeling stupid !
