Subject: Flow rate on flometrics 4.7 TB?
IP: Logged

Message:
I found the flow rates for the Huges engines TB's but can't find any info for the Flometrics 4.7 throttle bodys. Anyone have that info?

Also, is the throttle body noticible from looking at the engine bay? I'd like to keep every aspect of my warranty so is this something they would notice or not?

They may notice it because it is polished and shaped slightly differently but unless they look closely no one will know.

I'll check with Bruce if he finally has all the Flow data on the 4.7L TB's.

Correct me if I am wrong but I thought the 4.7 has a larger throttle body then the 5.9. What is to gain if your throttle body already flows more then your engine can use. Have you considered porting and polishing yours?

Actually sandman if you run some quick calculations the throttle blade surface area on a 68mm 4.7 and a 48mm 5.9 are almost identical. 36.29 cm2 and 36.17cm2 respectively. The 4.7 loves to rev so a bigger TB will probably benifit the 4.7 but it may not be by as much because of the displacement difference.
