Has anyone noticed any downfalls to these plugs? Do they help or hurt the common pinging problem? I heard someone on this forum say that they hurt the low-end power: is this correct? My truck is a '00 QC 5.9L 3.92 4x4. Thanks.

I haven't noticed any problems w/ them yet... I did gain some power but it might have come because I replaced my air filter which was coated.. both sides w/ mud.

Helps get rid of the pinging problem because they are a heat range cooler.

Some people report different things but most have no problems. Worked well for me including down low. I'm now using an NGK version of that plug with no problems and it is faster. I have the time slips to prove it.

Wayne,
What is the part number for the NGK's that you are referring too? Do you have no pinging on 87 octane? Is that a copper plug, or something like platinum, etc?

ZFR6F-11. Regular (not platinum). I don't have pinging BUT I have too many changes to compare to stock. Mopar PCM, 180 t stat, 60/40 water to antifreeze mixture with Redline Water Wetter to name a few things that effect pinging. I can use mid grade and sometimes lowest grade gas without pinging. It has only pinged on me twice and that was at the drag strip on a hot day when I was running mid grade gas.
