Subject: 2001 TB on 2000? Anybody do this?

I have seen it recommended that a 2001 TB can be swapped with the 2000 TB for the 4.7L. Has anyone actually done this? Any noticeable difference?

No one on this list that is. There's two people on the DML who have done this and noticed an improvement in performance.

BTW: Here's the initial results from the Flometrics 4.7L TB:

"Well guys, just got back form testing the billet F&B 69mm. Definately an improvement! We gained about 5HP, and 10FT/lb from it on this initial run. Bruce needs to make some changes to the intake system (Fab up a 4" version, instead of our ghetto way of doing it ;P). Other than that, it's looking VERY promising. We still have a few things up our sleeves, however ;)

Also, let me mention Bruce is an EXCELLENT man! He is a very honest & upfront person, and exceptionally nice!" - William

I have done this mod. I tested it with a gtech.
6 runs each test, averaged the results.

First with 65mm, HP was 210
Second with 65mm Ported and polished, 218
Third test with 68mm, 221
Forth 68mm Ported and polished 229
