I have a question about the intense performance Stage III. It says that it is only avail for 00-02 Daks with 5.2 or 5.9. I know that the 4.7 is those yrs and the 5.9 is the same as the 5.2. So why is it that it can fit the 98-99 Durbango and 00-02 Daks, but not my 97. I know there are probably very minor differences, but what?

I'll be on a trip until 3 Dec so if I don't respond to the help, thanks in advance.

Boomer,I have a 97 with the 5.2 AND with the stage III. It fits fine.I just had to cut about 1" off the intake end of the pipe and I used some super long ty wraps to support the canister, tying it onto the A/C tubing. The flex hose is a little tight to fish thru to the radiator intake area but with a little patience it will work great.

Thanks a million. I made a home brew kit from 3" PVC 2 45deg angles and a 22.5. It fits nicely and I used a peice of stove pipe and cut out the area beside the rad to funnel the air into my Holley filter. I love the set up, but using PVC I don't get a smooth air flow and it needs a heat shield. I figured the Stage III would be a good choice. I made a second for 4x4'n that looks a lot like the K&N, just a little shorter. But it gets really heat soaked from the eng comp so I use the other a lot. Looks like I'll buy the stage III then just to see. Hopefully it doesn't become a vacuum in the deep water. (Thoughts in my mind are lifting it 5" with 3" body lift.) hehehe

Thanks a lot

Boomer
