I was thinking about removing the pre-cats on my 4.7, but I read in a previous post that they're not that restrictive. I would guess that removing them would be good close to 10hp since the 4.7s without them have 5hp more with a smaller throttle body. How restrictive are they? I was also thinking about removing them since I have a small leake at the flange of the headers that has been a nightmare for me to completely eliminate, although I have lessened it. With the reduced backpressure I'm guessing the leak would be lessened even more. I could be wrong, though. Oh yeah, I hope everyone's Thanksgiving was good. I think I gained 10lbs already and there are plenty of left overs.
