Does anyone know of a low-buck (meaning at home) auto tranny mod to cause it to shift later, at higher rpm? Can a shim be added behind the shift control spool? Or a different spring? I don't know much about this so I'm just guessing. My 99 SLT 4x2 3.9V6/auto seems to shift early.

Shift rpm can be moved up a bit by adjusting the TV cable a bit to tight.4800rpm should be the right rpm if you are stock.
