I'm thinking about getting a msd ignition and wanted to know if it replaces the stock unit or does it work with the stock one.

Hey Dean,
I'm about to install my MSD Ignition on my R/T and I've asked some of the guys here some questions about it and from what these guys have told me there is no stock ignition box only a stock coil. The stock coil is just fine to leave on but it is recommended from what I read in the instructions to replace the factory cap and rotor. www.Sweedtweaks.com has a Borg/Warner cap and rotor set U can buy. It may also be wise to get some new wires 8mm-9mm.
