I've been going to various sites and seeing peoples feedback on the MSD ignitions and some are saying they had some that after a period of time they produced no spark. Should I be concerned or should I just say f*ck it and buy it?

Mike, I have an old MSD-6 on my 97 SLT Club that has been on three of my other vehicles. This thing's gotta be 15 years old and it still works great! I sent it back to the factory for a check-up before I put it on my Dak about 4 years ago and they sent it back as working just fine! They last forever!

Cool well I just ordered mine from Summitracing for $135 and its on its way...I was just curious as to what I was going to expect after reading negative feedback on it. I guess theres always gonna be positives and negatives. But I'm looking forward to putting it on.

Thanks Dave,

-Mike-

It's not like adding nitrous of course, but I think you can expect faster starts, smoother idle and a stronger pull while accelerating. You can also expect a few extra MPG's also, and considering how long these things last,it will definately pay for itself.I am thinking about one day upgrading to a MSD unit with a built-in rev limiter because I have a 5 speed and I have been known to miss a shift on occasion!
