Message: I did it took me about 25 min. Was not hard at all. Just follow the instruction from Speadtweaks. Definitly made the throttle response quicker. I have a 5.2 V8 as fyi

Message: I did it when I had my 97' 5.2 and it made throttle responce better. I just took a drill bit about the same size as the brass inserts and drilled them right out. My initial voltage was .67 and I set it to .82.

Message: well ok ....... you really don't need to set your tps voltage at .8 or .9v's because at .9v's your pretty much at the end of the tps's range and the closer you get to that the better chance you have at tripping an MIL. Bernd and i have discussed this several times and at the conclusion i have found that .7 to .75 works the best for a lightly modded engine and bernd also recommends setting to only .7 to .75 , also if you want to set to .8 or .9 you'll have to enlarge the holes in the tps sensor slightly after you drill out the brass inserts or else you may not get too much adjustment but just drilling out the brass inserts should get you adjustment up to about .75 to .8 volts...... better throttle response is all i can say for this mod but i did notice that the response is better through out the entire pedal all the way to WOT

Message: Well I did it, I drilled out the brass inserts, plugged it back up and adjusted the voltage to .83. So far so good, oh and I did read the voltage before I removed the TPS sensor, and it read, .52V's, and man what a difference, I thought that it would'nt really do anything, but I guess that I was wrong. Spyder343 you're vehical should have an TPS sensor, so you should be able to adjust it, let me know how it turns out, if you decide to go through with it.

Message: o.k , after looking at SpeedTweeks,I think I can do this.I was wondering,my engine is all stock, will this mod still help? I have a 2000 4.7. Looks like I can do this today. Oh,one more thing, how do you adjust it once you drill out the holes? What do you turn?

Message: It's very simple, all you have to turn is the TPS housing, that is why you drill bigger holes (for play). But you have to do this with the meter hooked up to it, and word of advice, make sure that you have an good connection to the bare wire when you are reading the voltage to the TPS, because it will vary, make sure the voltage is sitting still at around .40 up to around .6 or so, when you get this voltage you are reading the stock setting. Hope this helps, and good luck just take you're time when drilling out the inserts.

Message: I just set mine to .83. Reset the PCM, let it idle for a few minutes to let the PCM learn the new reading. I drove it about 20 miles with a minor improvement in throttle response. It was at .53 before I began. I was expecting more, but free is free after all!

Message: Allright!!!!! My test drive last night, and my drive to work this morning showed close to no effect. Well I notice it now!!!! I got in my truck to go and get a soda and I just barely pressed my peddle (like I always do when leaving a parking lot) and my truck lunged forward.
NICE low end improvement. I notice it up to 2000 rpm.

Message: I have mine set now to .801, It was about .768 then when I tightened the screws it moved to .801, should I mess with it at all, or is it fine? I also noticed the same as Jason, up about 2000 RPMS you can feel it pulling more. I took my canopy off a week later to see how much faster it was, and I can not keep the tires from spinning.
