Message: I just put the stage II jet chip in my R/T and I have not noticed a difference in horsepower. The chip has been in for 3 days and I think my truck is actually slower. Plus I have not noticed a change in shift points like they said it would.
Maybe it is to soon to tell but for now I'm not impressed. I will try the IAT adjuster next.

Message: R/Truck - I'm surprised that you haven't noticed a difference with the Jet Chip.
Maybe the R/T Computer is already "tuned" up as compared to the standard 5.9 and is not as responsive.
Give it more time. I've read posts that suggest the computer must "learn" new mods. Have you tried running 92 octane?

Message: Before putting the chip in I filled it up with premium. I guess I was expecting a major change in performance, but so far nothing. I will give it a few more days with the chip in then remove it. Maybe then I will be able to tell (once the chip is out) if there was a difference.
So they say if it ain't broke don't fix it. But don't get me wrong I do appreciate you letting me borrow the chip and I will keep you posted.
BTW- I do have the flowmaster exhaust, K&N Intake and the 180 Thermo like Jet suggests.

Message: Ask anyone who has had both the chip and the pcm, the chip doesnt do much, the pcm cuts about 2 tenths or so of your time and increases your shift points to higher rpms, i like mine alot it is well worth the money, the pcm gets rid of that crappy 120mph governer limiter to so you can go faster, try it, you'll like it

Message: How much does the Performance PCM cost? Is is a MOPAR item or aftermarket? I've seen where you cab send your stock computer to be re-programmed (Kenne Bell, I think?) for $300.00. Any feedback on that?
Thanks - Bill

Message: im pretty sure the chip is avalable from the dealer, i asked and they were going to charge me $500 and go through my paperwork and void my warranty. if you go to this site---> http://www.krcperformance.com/krc_performance_pcm.htm they sell them. i have a 2001 2WD dakota sport CC 3.9 and the stage 2 jet chip helped alot. ive heard that the jet chips never work well in 5.9's. Somebody who has the setup tell me-->Does the jet chip work well with the Mopar PCM?

Message: I am not too sure if you can get the pcm which is a Mopar pcm for the 2001, I dont see why not, the 2002 are already out arent they, the pcm costs 300 or less, I ordered mine from Earhardt Dodge, I think its in arizona, but you can get them from Randy Pile for real cheap
