Message: I am assuming you are putting it in a plastic K&N Gen II intake, all you have to do is drill a 1/2" hole and screw the IAT sensor into the plastic,it cuts its own threads into the plastic and seals, for added insurance I put a rubber grommet on the threaded part of the sensor, the grommet has a 1/2"hole and is about 3/4"round and about 1/4" thick. So you screw in the sensor until it smashes against the grommet a little and your done, the sensor itself only costs about $11 or $12,I just bought a new one and did it,left the stock one in the manifold, easier that way.I have pictures of it if need be.

Message: Do not use silicone to seal the threads. The vapors from the un cured sealant will kill the o2 sensors. Teflon tape is your best bet.
