tom, i believe you can diagnose your 93 dakota
yourself. what you need to do is sit in the cab to
be able to watch the check engine light. do not
start the engine. turn the ignition key on, then
off, on again, off, and finally on again. the
light will begin to flash. count the flashes of
the first number. there will be a pause. count the
flashes of the second number. for example, 12
would flash one time, pause, and flash twice.
there will also be a pause between codes. you can
look up the codes in the repair manual or post
them here. i or someone else could give it to you.
