Here in VA gas has come way down, today its
1.02, 1.10, and 1.18, thats Citgo, Exxon, Texaco, East Coast, or an off brand.
Its been a LONG time since I saw a buck a gallon for cheap gas!!!

Here in Grand Rapids, MI it's $1.14 for reg, lowest i've seen since last summer.

Yea, the gas companies are really breaking it off in us all. Even selling it at 1.00 a gallon they're making more proffit then most any other business out there. They're just as bad as the insurance industry.

I live about an hour from the port of Houston (gas production area) and it's still over $1.30 whats up with that.

Its finally dropped here around Chicago....Reg is down to 1.40, mid-grad 1.50, and Premium is 1.60....all I want now is those .99 prices some of you guys are paying...

i'm paying $1.48 in chicago i pay at least $40 a week to keep my 2001 4.7 going. $.99 was dream i had about 4-5 years ago that lasted about 3 months.

Gas prices in Chicago will not reach .99 a gallon because they have to add the ethynol in the gas. I believe the special formula caused the prices to rise. I went home to chicago for the weekend and gas was 1.73 for premium. I arrived back at school in central indiana to find gas prices 1.14 1.24 and 1.34 for ammoco and only 108 1.15 and 1.20 at clark/marathon. Pretty cheap, still not as good as when I was here in 1998 when it was .79 cents a gallon for clark/marathon!

Ya'll southern boys need to send some of those gas prices to long island,new york. Yeah i know you dont like yankees but giving us your gas prices would be nice. Especially when i live 15 min away from one of the largest gas/oil terminal on the east coast!!!!

I saw our prices sway down to 1.27 and 1.29 for regular at most of the places here in Lincoln Nebraska. Now it's levled off at 1.23 for regular. And I hope it does stay down or go lower cause I have to drive to college and then to work a whole lot during the week.

I just got back from Orlando and it ranged from 1.65to1.14 per gallon and back home here in Mn it's 1.23 per gallon and the thing that gets me is the oil is $20 a drum and the last time it was that low the gas was 89cents a gallon so you know that the gas giants are sitin high on the hog. And here as well as in Chicago we to have the stupid ethynol in our gas to and you get 2 mpg more if you can find a station with out it but we need it because of the corn farmers and it is supposed to help clean the polution the hell with that I want better mpg.

HEY you Chitown guys crossover to IN.to buy your gas we're down to $1.04/gal. IL.gas tax is alot higher than IN. we also have to have the same mixture in our gas at least in Lake ,Porter,and aout 6 other counties in IN.

I do not understand why Chicago gas is higher because of ethanol. Here in TX, the cheaper stations (Racetrack, etc...) have stickers on the pumps stating that the fuel has 10% ethanol, yet they stay 5-10 cents cheaper than everyone else. Sounds like Chicago is just making excuses to make more money. Or maybe corn is cheaper here. At any rate, ethanol burns hotter and lubes less, so I stay away from it. I feel sorry for you Chicago guys. Not only do you have to pay more for gas, but you will be rebuilding your top-ends sooner than expected.
Anyways - I just paid 1.32 gallon for Shell Premium 93. I wonder what this means?

ya laugh it up. Up here in Ketchum Idaho its 1.79 for regular, 1.89 mid, 1.99 for 91 octane. We dont even get anything above 93 in Idaho. I know of one pump in Boise that sells 103. I guess in South Africa you can buy like 105 at the pump.

I work in a gas station and we are in a Gas War. The guys across the street are @ 24 cents a gallon with a free car wash with a fill up. I'm washing windows, checking air pressure in tires, and just for kicks I threw in a free tire repair because this the second time I had to put air in this guys tire, whew! I think we are going to go down to 23 cents a gallon and run this guy across the street out of business. Whats that sound, HUH, OH! its the alarm clock, I GUESS I WAS BACKK IN 1974. How many of you guys remember these days.
Fill your car up, a carton of smokes, pop, snacks and enough to take your chick to a movie for a ten dollar bill. 57 Cheevy was king then baby.
