Haven't heard anything bad about them. I personally have tried Jacobs, Taylor, MSD, and Splitfire wires. The Taylor wires were the least expensive and they're fitted set actually fits very well ($50).

Message: I wouldn't get the champion truck plugs. I had those and they were whipped after 12000 miles with stock ingition. The Autolite 3923's seem to be much better. Do notice a better throttle response with the 3923's. I personally have no use for champpion plugs in general, well maybe for a lawnmower or something.

Message: Forgot. Also noticed a 1.5 mpg improvement with the 3923's. Seemed high to me but the numbers don't lie.

Message: I actually noticed less power. MPG stayed the same at 14ish. Ping has drastically decreased so I'm totally satisfied. I use regular now instead of 93 octane

Message: Bernd,
Does the 4.7 use the 3923's too? or are those only for the 5.2 and 5.9?

I've heard mixed results with the 4.7's and the 3923's. Some gained better results with the Borscht Platinums and others had better results with the 3923's.

Message: To make a very long story short. I once rebuilt an olds 455 for a friend and after 8 hours and several cases of beer and a years worth of cursing. I found that the new box of 8 champion spark had 7 sparks plugs that didn't spark! I nstalled the old worn out ones back in and it fired right up. I use NGK plugs if I can get them. I work for a motorcycle shop and have intalled a lot of plugs in 20 years and have NEVER had a bad ngk plug. My next choice is Autolite.
