Message: Wondering if you guys/gals with Z-Tubes on their trucks swith back to the factry airb box for upstante ny winter weather... Ihave a home-made screen over beside the radiator to stop snow from entering the filter for the most part, but was wondering it it was a good idea to go back to the factor set up to avoid possible icing/etc. of the throttle body.. ? any comments? thanks......

Message: I plan on switching back to the stock set-up this winter because 1) don't need the extra hp/airflow for the winter 2) that cold of air with the IAT sensor will kill any hopes of decent mpg and 3) don't want the salt spray all over the nice looking filter and Z-tube . Will also remove as much of NOS system to avoid the salt attacking it's components.
