Message: I have a 1999 Dakota Sport 4 banger. I have been dealing with Daimler Chrysler for 2 1/2 years. When you start the engine cold or turn on the ac it stalls and or idles erradically. Chrysler tech rep has identified the problem but can not fix it. They have replace 3 fuel rails. The diaphragms keep blowing out. They said that there should only be about 50 psi pushing fuel, they measured between 70 and 75 psi. Has anyone encountered this problem and do you know how to fix it. Chrysler has just been guessing. I just filed and went to arbitration. I doubt that it will be in my favor.

Message: Well, don't quote me, but if a dealer replaces a part 3 times, you might qualify for the lemon law. Better check into it quick, looks like your warranty is about to end. I don't know if the size of the component is an issue. Something as minor as a diaphragm might not constitute a whole vehicle replacement.

Message: Hey G. Cowardin, I would think it would, my boss has a new Tahoe and they have a serious problem with the bumpers rusting out on them, but since he bought his truck under the A plan, I guess he's not able to return it under the lemon law (to cover my @ss this is what he told me)

Message: I have a 4.7L Dakota. I towed a 20' boat over the mountains, and at one point the engine temp went really high. Since then the engine dies when cold. If I run it for 5 minutes or more, it runs fine. If I feather the accelerator pedal while cold, I can keep it running. But once I let off the gas, it dies.
Poway Dodge in Poway CA. is clueless. They think it's spark plugs. How can all 8 plugs fail at exactly the same time?
