Message: HI,
I need some insight into on my quarter mile times!
I ran twice tonight, my traction was so poor I was spinning in second gear. One thing that did remain the same was my trap speed. Can anyone help with these numbers? What would be my real ET's numbers if I had traction? Would that even be possible to find out? I have no doubt about that I could get 9's in the 660 if I had traction.

Message: I have the same trap speed and my ets are around 15.2. I am getting 2.0 to 2.1 60' times but I am still spinning too much in second. I think I could get 15.00 if I didnt spin in second.

Message: YOUR TYRES CANT BE TACKY ENOUGH.
Are you burning em up before you launch or
are you running cold? Tacky tyres should be
your first bet.

Message: Doing a big smokey burn-out works if you have real tires! Otherwise your just gonna make it worse. your standard radials dont handle high temps to well, they tend to get slimy, not tacky.
A Quick dry hop is all you need. now if you go get a set of drag radials or even full slicks, have at it, do your best john force, but until then dont bother.

Message: I thought I had a LSD with the 3.92, only to find that I'm driving a ONE WHEEL WONDER! So, do I get a powertrax? Tires? or just be happy that I drive a pretty freakin' quick truck?

Message: your 60 ft time is not all that good, so your mph will be faster. The quicker your 60 ft the lower the mph. What i have found with my 2k qc, and i learned from when i drag raced bikes. Usually every 10th you cut from your 60 ft could result in an extra 2 10th's off you 1/4 mile time.
I think this will be the case for you once you get some traction
My best 60 ft with my 2k 4.7 5 spd LSD 3.55 is 2.13 1/4 in 15.75 @ 84 mph when my 60 ft is 2.2 or 2.3 i run usally a 15.9 or 16.0 @ 86 mph.
