I've got a 2000 4.7L 5-speed cc and I wanted to take out the cat and put in a strait pipe instead. the only problem is I've got an O2 sensor infront of and behind the cat. I was wondering if that would effect the performance of my engine.

With two O2 sensors you can not remove the cat. The first one is used to measure your O2 levels before they go through the cat and will not be affected the second one is measuring the O2 levels after cat and with no cat the levels will be drastically wrong. Im not positive on the results but I believe it could cause the truck to go into Open Loop mode and that would be a serious driveability problem. Go with a high flow cat or just dont worry about it these new cats flow pretty good.
