Message: Hi all, just another new Dak finatic here. Purchased a 01 QC SLT+ 4.7L about 4 months ago and love the truck. Just wanted to say thanks to everyone for all the info posted on the cold air intake setups for the 4.7. I am trying to find all the parts to put mine together right now, just having problems locating the filter. Probably have to just order it from online but thought maybe I could find it locally. Looking for opinions on lowering my QCab, haven't seen to many of them lowered? Let me know what ya think?
Thanks all

Message: Don't know if I would want to take the big step to C-notch the frame? Was thinkin about maybe a 3/5 drop for now then maybe later on take the big step. Might be awhile tho, low cashflow gonna take me awhile but then I can get more ideas while I save my pennies. All you guys and your nice rides just makes me wish I had more funds to stick in my truck!!

Message: I have taken the "big step", and went with the western chassis kit.
up front, go with a 2" A-arm, and 1" spring (or 3" spring)
in the rear, go with a 2" shackle and 3" hanger
and 4 lowered shocks all around.
it is a VERRY nice kit, it rides like stock. if you want ill send you some picks of my club cab with a 4/6 drop

Message: That would be great Eric, I would really like to see some pics. Did you do the work yourself? If so, did everything with the kit go as smoothly as they make it sound? Thanks a bunch,
Rick
