OK guys, right now I have a '99 Durango 5.9 4x4. I'm seriously considering trading it in on a 4.7 Dakota 4x4 QC. Partially because I think it'll be more practical. Partially because I'm tired of getting 14mpg. Plus, it's just as badass as my Durango. So, here are some questions.

1. Does anybody currently make a computer addon to increase the power of the 4.7? If so, who and where can I find it?

2. What other engine upgrades are available that won't void the warranty? I'm trying to be frugal here, so keep that in mind.

3. The Dodge website says the 4.7 Auto is a "multispeed automatic" whereas on the other engines it says 4-spd, 5 spd, etc. I've read it's a 5 spd auto, is this true? If not, what exactly is it. And please don't recommend I get the 5 spd. I don't find it fun to be constantly shifting while stuck in gridlock.

4. I just bought a pair of Goodyear MT/Rs in 31x10.5x15 (the factory front tires wore out, but the rear can go another month). Why is it that the Dakota is no longer offered with this tire size? Is there any comparable size it's offered with that would still be compatible with my new tires?

I'm sure more questions will follow, but that's it for now. Thanks a bunch!

BTW, I'm looking at getting the Dak totally loaded to bear. And get this, with the 0% they're offering, I'll be paying less that I will for my Durango over fewer months!

Heres what I know,

Jet makes a chip, a stage 1 and stage 2 chip. I have heard good and bad about the chip. The multispeed auto chooses between 2 second gears depending on the load, so I dont know whether I would really call it a 5 speed. I have the factory 265 70r 16s they a little smaller than a 31 but only by about a half inch.
