ok i am seeing that there are more and more people on here that have daks and live in La. i live in the Baton Rouge Area, about 15 miles south east of it actually. we are going to try and plan a BBQ for all of us. me and kraw have talked before about it but never done it. i'm just wondering how many people would be interested if we have a La BBQ? not sure were we would have it yet, possibly at the park on lake ponchatrain? i dunno, but we'll be open to suggestions, oh and who can cook? hehe. later

You wouldn't happen to know the name of the guy you bought the truck from, would you? I have a friend who had a truck exactly like yours and sold it a couple of years ago (he drives a mid-11's firebird now).

I won't be able to make it until at least the first week of November. We are starting up a new unit at the plant and I'm working 7/12's. Baton Rouge is fine with me. I'm thinking the park at LSU. Lots of room, nice scenery. It is located on Lee Drive. Easy directions off I-10. If ya'll think this is ok I can call LSU Visitor center and make sure there is no restrictions.

O.K. I called LSU and they said the park is open to the public. It will be ok to meet there.
Now, I gave the wrong information. The park is on Acadian Thwy. If coming from the North you would take a right on to Acadiana, cross Perkins HWY and continue about 1 to 1 1/2 miles. The park will be on your right. If you come from the South, get off on Acadian, turn LEFT and continue as above. The park is next to the lakes on right, can't miss it.
LSU Security suggested that no alcohol be consumed.(party poopers!!) Anyway, we need to set a time and date. If anyone would like to call me, my cell is (985)817-9539.

ok, Dec 8th is cool. i won't be able to make it if it goes to the 15th, got a wedding to stand in. so the 8th is cool, 1 o'clock sounds great that'll give me time to wash my truck before and stuff. what are we doing for grub? everyone pitch in a few bucks and we BBQ hamburgers and hotdogs mabe? spread the word too. i know of at least 2 more that might come from around here, also dak chic if you can make sure Wayne knows, as well as Sleeper 318. i'm not on here a whole lot. i really want to see sleeper 318's truck. hey maby we could also plan a date that we all meet at the track? anyway, see ya'll on the 8th.\

Hi roby, we usually meet at the sonic in gonzales. the one right across from Wal Mart on Airline Highway. most of the people around town hang out there so it can be kinda a car show, but not really. i'm guessing you read most of this post, so you'll know about the meet we have on Dec 8. you ain't gotta be a member of no group to come out and show off your dak. anyway, c ya l8r

Crux - There are lots of muffler guys in the yellow pages but I could't find anybody around that does mandrel bent pipes at a reasonable price. I ordered the stuff and put it on myself.
