Message: No special tools needed. This is a large project. Stuff like the radiator, condencer need to come out of the way. Now you can start from the top remove the A/C compressor, alt, and brackets now you can take off the intake manifold. With it off you can take out the spider holding down the roller lifters as well as the lifters. Remove the valve covers, rocker arms and pushrods. Now move to the front of the engine take off the belt and the water pump, and the harmonic balancer you will need a puller for this any parts store can supply you with this finally you can remove the timing chain cover, set the dots so that the cam and crank are on top and note where the rotor on the dist is and mark it to the dist body, remove the timing chain. Take the came thrust plate off and slide out the cam. Make sure that when you put the new cam in that the dist ends up pointing in the same spot that you marked earlier. You should do a dist indexing procedure after as well. Plus DON'T FORGET THAT YOU HAVE TO CHANGE VALVE SPRINGS AS WELL. Good luck and may the horse power gods look down to you.
