OK this was by far the most fun I've ever had in my truck.
Well I was driving down the strip here in CO Springs with a girl I met(first date). When I reached back to change some CD's in my changer at a stop light I heard THE sound that makes any Dakota owner excited. A loud buzzing was coming up behind me so I looked in the rear view just to see a flood of headlights and foglights I could tell they were all souped up imports. Well the two that pulled up next to me were a 3000GT and a civic of some kind. Well needless to say they were revving the ricers so it was on. Well the light turned green and we took off, the civic was gone in the dust but i was pretty even with the 3000gt (he was abot 1/2 carlength ahead). Well we pulled up to the next light and i guess i slowed down too soon because then the mitsu cut in front of me and let another of his friends (WRX) alongside him.So now I was between another honda and an integra type R. Well this one pissed me off a little so I had to get by them. When the light turned green I waited a seconf then took off and a total of 12 of them went by. Then we caught up to the straglers pushing about 80mph when i pushed the fun button. Passed all of them on the shoulder topping out at 146mph. It was fun. But needless to say I didn't get a second date. Hey you gotta have your priorities.

So your Dak is AWD and dropped? SO your setup is similar to a chevy typhoon minus the turbo? That sounds nice! WHat kinda 1/4mi times you running in that thing on the juice and n/a?

The best I've ever run with that truck was 12.17 1/4 mile. On average it will run about 12.35's. This is just on 245/40 tires allthe way around I've never tried it with 4 slicks.

I don't have any pictures now because the truck is in the process of getting repainted and more body stuff done. It's gonna be yellow with the dual super bee stripes down the back with all of the original super bee decals plus a custom shaker hood. Should be cool.

SuperBeeDak, I have the same truck, and I was wondering, how much to drop it, and does it hanldle as well, and for all of your upgrades, what are they running? I'm in the process of getting a tranny built, and I have plans to beat all hell for this baby, but I need some info, because I don't hear much on dropped AWD's. I'm willing to spend what it takes to get her into the 11's, yes, 11's, by the time I graduate (sophomore right now).

LOL i'm tired of beating Ricers with my almost stock 5.2L V8. I have never been even nearly beat by a Honda. I have been almost matched by a new Acura though with some teens driving their mom's car. LOL

Hope you don't do that too often. sounds a bit dangerous passing on the shoulder ( where crap like nuts, bolts, nails, etc. build up ) at that speed. A blow out at that spped would smart a bit. Around here there's been a lot of news articles lately of kids dying in speed contests and fast driving. You do have life insurance don't you?
