Mr H., where was the M3? Are you talking about the Miata? Unless it was soooo messed up we got confused. Remember, a lot of Ricers are stealing the BMW look (the fenders)and applying it to their Civics, etc.
We fixed the mistake about the Eclipse GSX. That was sent in from someone who asked us to post it so we didn't pay enough attention to that before posting. The point was, someone spent $50K on that car (it was his friends) when $50K could build at least two 8 to 9 second small block Chevy's!
We take most of those pics our selves here in Phoenix. Some of the donated pics were from others including several who I met here!
But this, we wont apologize for making fun of sh!t like this!
I hate seeing good trucks RUINED like this!

who cares? you see 9 second Chevy small blocks in the Sack and Save parking lot. There used to be one here in Cedar Hill street driven at the street races, no trailer. I drive a dodge but I'm 100% chevrolet at heart, and I have to say even if he did spend 50k he's doing all that with a 2.0, thats around 122 cubic inches...pretty impressive.
Yeah I think a chevy would look and sound better, but hey it's his money and he has a hell of a lot faster car than anything you have. It's unique and it's his own deal. Who are you to criticize what his passion is? Are you the authority in what looks good? I think not. A large majority of the imports on your site, in my personal opinion, looked like poo, but hey they bring diversity. I like seeing slow 16 and 17 second imports run barreling down the 1/4mile echoing louder than Top Fuel. It's kinda funny in a way. Seeing the same old Fox and F bodies at the track gets boring Go read car&driver, there are more than a handful of imports that can blow the doors off most of the domestics produced. Heck a bone stock GSX with a decent driver will cream any Dakota in the 1/8th or 1/4mile. Pretty sad when the 2nd fastest Chrysler produced vehicle is a 2 liter Neon. All I'm saying is have an open mind to other's interests.

But as far as the M3 you missed, it's on page 4 just above the older Camry with a shopping cart spoiler. They're both yellow. M3's are REAL! I saw a hi-speed chase downloaded from Kazaa where a mid-90's M3 wasn't having much trouble with an LT-1 pursuit Camaro. You should've seen him dodge the spike strip at 120 mph. That was freakin awesome.
Oh yeah, I like the dropped full-size Dodge personally.

Oh, you were talking about this M3? That was months and months ago, but yes, it IS a RICER with the mis matched spoiler and the dual outlet muffler that points straight up (not very visable in that photo) that you usually find on the cheaper Ricers. You can RICE anything. Like the caption said, "Even the Scottsdale kids add the useless spoiler and dual-tipped megaphone muffler!"
And about the Eclipse GSX. It may be no deal that the person spent THAT much money on the Eclipse, but you COULD build a LOT faster of a car than that for that kind of money. It's like people with the Dakota's who buy the V6's and spend lots of money to keep up with the V8's. (SOme have done well doing so I might ad) but starting out with the V8 would have been cheaper and then you could spend the money to improve on the beloved V8 and get more than you could with the V6.

BTW, that GSX photos and specs were sent in by someone. I did not take those photos. They said it was there "friends" car and that it was supposed to be pretty bad ass. It doesn't have any of the "gay" racing stickers on it or the spoiler, fart can, etc. So I didn't really classify it as a RICER. If anything, it's a "sleeper" if you ask me becuase you know that car would be under estimated as another typical Eclipse. I just didn't understand the money investment, that's all.
As for 00287RC saying she liked hearing the 16 to 17 second imports running fart cans louder than top fuel. I have to argue that right now. Yes, those fart cans are VERY annoying, especially becuase they change the PITCH of the natural sound as the pipe changes from somehting 1 1/2 inches to 4 or more inches as a mega phone does. But no way in HELL does a loud and annoying fart can econobox shake your chest and bust your ear drums like a NITRO METHANE powered TOP FUEL dragster!!!!!!!!! It's SCARY to be standing next to a TOP FUEL taking off the starting line. Standing next to a fart can econobox is nothing but annoying like a pack of bumble bees flying too closely or a pissed off weedeater in your neighbors back yard!!!!

okay for one, I said it was somewhat amusing, and two the remark about Top Fuel was an exaggeration, so I dont need an explanation of what Top Fuel is like, I've seen plenty in person.
If you think it's dumb to buy a civic to make fast because you could build a chevy for cheaper, then by that logic it's dumb to buy a dakota R/T when you can buy an LS1 for roughly the same price. Yeah a large majority of those cars look and sound like crap and are a waste of time to mod, but devoting a website to make fun of them isn't a waste of time?

I laughed my a$$ off reading ur website man. Its a good website and it does point out a lot of ridiculous investments people make. However, I agree that someone may fix up their car, whatever kind of car it may be, to their liking. I don't like imports, I crack up seeing the enormous spoilers and 4" exhuast on an engine that is 1/5 the size of mine, but there is nothing wrong with it. At the same time there is nothing wrong with making fun of it. LOL. Straddle the fence but hey, have you ever made a racist joke, they're pretty fun!!! But are you racist for saying it? I dont think so.

That's the problem with anonymous posting. All the idiots wish they could be me.
As for the racist crap. I got some flack for that. I labeled some cars as "Mexican Mods" etc but if you look at my site or lived in Phoenix AZ you would understand completely! There are some mods that NO ONE but a Mexican would do. I don't think it's Racist when I'm not making sh!t up and just pointing out an honest observation. The Mexian Ricers, the ones ENGLISH impaired are the FUNNIEST becuase they put the WRONG stickers on their cars. I mean you will see SiR logos on DODGE, DODGE R/T logos on HONDA's, etc etc etc!!!
I'm not totally against someone for fixing up what they got, be it a Civic or not. If they actually do any WORK to the performance good for them. It's the ever rediculous WINGS, FART CANS,and all the FAST AND THE FURIOUS racing stickers they can buy plastered all over these rods without anything under the hood to back it up that makes me laugh! I can take many of those with my Dakota and have a laugh doing it!
Hell, I'm going to eventually install that Turbo I have lying around onto our Chrysler, and it's all Mitsubishi under the hood. But you wont find any racing stickers on that f#cker when I do it either!!!
Now, you GOTTA laugh at this sh!t!!!

I think we're ALL born equal. It's the CULTURE you're raised in, as simple as that.
So when you look at Sunny Slope (slop) here in the Phoenix area, that's the kind of rides you will find. A lot of them folks speak little or NO English what so ever. All the stores are in Spanish only. There's a lot of "white trash" crack smokers, etc in that area too. I guess it just depends on where you grow up that determines how stupid you can become!
For example, some people grow up to think that a lowered full sized truck is great. I think that person just ruined that truck. Lowering in my book in no way IMPROVES a truck. And lowered cars only work on SMOOTH closed tracks LOL! There's the difference.

Myself I see no stickers ,fins,spoilers,ground effects,bla bla bla. I see a full size lowered (big time) truck that looks far from ruined.Looks no different than any other lowered truck I have seen over the last 25 yrs! So how is it RUINED? It also stands out from the other billion Rams we are going to see on the road for the yrs to come. And there is one improvement in lowering ...something trucks lack.. HANDLING!

Well this may only be a mere difference in opinion, so iy t isn't like one of us is absolutely right and the other wrong LOL!
damit, but I still laugh at those mods!
Anyway, A lowered truck (or car) like that will usually only handles better on a closed track.
Out on the OPEN HIGHWAY it would ride like crap over the usual dips and bumps. I'd sooner out drive that RAM with my 4X4 if you got to the mountain curves I drive through. Hell, I dusted a newer Civic driving through the high speed curves just a week ago. But those are known not to corner high speeds well. My friend has an Si and he said it's scary as hell when the back end comes loose in a high speed curve. It doesn't give you any warning, like many FWD cars do.

imports are good for one thing, filling the interior with tire smoke when the guy tries to out rev you at a stop light. Of course all of his windows are down so that everyone ears have to blead with that strangled cat music, so the make it easy. If you haven't filled an import with tire smoke yet, you should try it they get pised.
The only thing that spoiler is going to do at 160mph, is fall off, don't kid yourself Mr.H

I like the looks of a stock spoiler that makes an otherwise plain looking truck lid somewhat better. But installing those rediculous aluminum ones or the goofy looking plastic double decker specials just makes you look pathetic! (Ricer)
ANyway, I've done many burnouts. But never have had the chance to fill a Ricers car with smoke. Maybe I'll do that. I don't have any hot rods any more so I don't have anything that can like light them up to 7000 RPM's like I used to. But my stock Dak 4X4 will power brake and roast the tires. I tried that once just to see, but didn't let it run up the RPM's or my tire into melted rubber and smoke, etc!
WHat I'd really like to do is have another nasty small block. Except with some Y-Gates that dump out just under each of the side doors. That would basically be open header and if some Ricer was to rev up his weed eater, I would flip the switch and punch the gas. He'd have a heart attack because a nasty small block on open headers will shake your sh!t when you stand next to one!!! Anyone who goes to the track and has a car rumble by with open headers knows what I'm talking about. But what would be cool because it would be otherwise quiet by running through the full exhaust and then open them up with them aimed at his window right as you hit the green light! The Ricer would DEFICATE in his pants!

If you wanted to get technical about it, I suppose you would think "Rice" was generally refered to the Japanese cars.
But the term "Ricer" is generally now a CUT DOWN to someone who has done rediculous modifications.
So if you drive a NEON and you did goofy, non enhancing mods, you're called a Ricer.
Today I was reminded of how stupid some of the "Low Riders" can be!!! I was driving home when this "lowered" Accord HIT HIS BRAKES in front of me and SWERVED around a SMALL CRACK in the pavement!!!! Then SWERVES back into his lane to hit the gas and speed away only to HIT THE BRAKES for another CRACK in the pavement! I'm cruising behind him feeling little to nothing each time I go over the 1 inch cracks he swerved around!
That's the LOW RIDER mentality I witness on a daily basis. They drive me NUTS to be driving behind one of these guys not too mention how pathetic they are over the speed bumps in parking lots! Not all of these guys are "bagged". Who would be so clever to LOWER a car to the point you can't drive it on the CITY STREETS???
