Message: So apples to apples comparison.
1/2 ton shortbed reg cab Chevy with the 5.3L and auto. gearing 3.55. two wheel drive of course. I know this truck is heavier, but it has more HP and TQ.
The contender. A reg cab RT, stock.
The underdog. A reg cab 4.7L, 5spd, 3.92.
All trucks two wheeld rive.
Just looking for input for fun. See what you guys think.
I think the Chevy could give a run to these trucks. Supercharge a RT and supercharge the Chevy, given both trucks have intakes, and exhausts. I think the Chevy could maybe do it.

2000 R/T:

Now where do you get more tq for the Chevy?
Now these are stock figures. I've seen the 270hp Chevy Silverado put down 190hp on the dyno. Big deal!
First time I dynoed my 2001R/T It put down 210hp@4000-4500 304tq@3600 at the wheels! With only 4400miles on the clock. So whats' 210hp at the wheel? 250-260hp at the crank, let alone the massive 304tq! Lets say' 25% loss in drive. That's 375tq! That's not second gear reading either, you know the part where it reads the shift. I got 390tq on the spike at the wheels! :) That's why my truck churps alot when WOT and hits second :) Well I'm still waiting for my parts K&N intake system and Fb TB :) I can't wait, wait I've still waiting :( It's been almost two weeks! I'll like to see my HP then!
