I don't think so.
My 4.7 has run some better numbers since then......
the mph picked up just a little bit.

Message: Do you have a single or twin-turbo setup, Duner?
I wanna build a twin-turbo setup for my R/T. How hard and how long is to develop and install a turbo kit on a V8 DAK?
Iīm running a 100HP shot of Nitrous Oxide on my R/T and I didnīt like the temporary power that nitrous gave me and dealing with an empty bottle all the time! heehe I want real power(boost) all the time I press the gas pedal!
Are the Custom Turbos more eficient than all the superchargers kits available for our trucks when properly installed?
I didnīt like Nitrous....

Message: I've got a single-turbo system on mine. I spent about a month researching and finding the parts and it took me about 3 weeks of working after work every night to mock-up and then build the system. The whole thing worked great right off the bat but was fairly conservative. It was pretty much limited to only 5 to 7 psi of boost to begin with. From there I changed injectors, compressor trim on the turbo and added the intercooler system. Those changes allowed me to take it to about 15 psi of boost.
I know you didn't like the bottle - but once you turn the boost up past 10 psi or so it's almost the same thing. You can't run that much boost unless you buy race gas, and you have to turn it down when the race gas runs out. Of course that's only for when you really want the boost turned up. You can safely run around town and have the equivelant of about a 100 shot all the time on just premium unleaded with just 5-7 psi of boost.
To be honest - the supercharger kit would probably be more convenient to install. You can't change the boost settings as easily as on a turbo system, but you can change pulleys. I think the turbo systems have more potential, but unless you build a complete engine to handle all the power, you can't use it all anyway.

Message: im getting a racing place around me to build a twin-turbo setup for an r/t. when they get done building it and i ge it i will tell ya how much it cost and how much it helps. so hold on so when i get it done, b/c ive had racin in my blood and i dont slow down till i see the win light, the trophy, or cash in my hand. but the twin-turbo they said the way i want it you have to change the rearend gear and a few lil mods but it is suppose to give w/ a 100hp of nos it will give my truck rated at 675hp from the 300 hp. but i will tell you exactly when i get the specs on it so be patient and by the way whoever said all that crap i race cars and trucks and build them too b/c my other dakota will run 7:00's in a 1/8th mile and its got the title if i wanted it to be street legal and it has 500hp + 100hp of nos (but dont need it on the bracket racing dakota)

Message: I drive a 4.7 RC 5 speed Dak with 3.55's, 2002. I read in this forum that a well driven 4.7 is a s fast as a R/T and I see that they like to take on Lightenings, forgive the spelling. I drove a Lightening last Saturday, it had been chipped, and it is bad and there is no R/T or 4.7 that can do what this truck did. I also have a Saleen and a Bullitt and this truck is badder than they and can probably do those 12 second numbers that the picture was showing.
