 Subject: MP 7.5 wires/summit headers

Does anyone here find that the MP 7.5 wires are better than 8mm taylor wires? Just wondering because I am about to order some new wires. Also, Summit has some flotech headers for late model dodge trucks 96-97 5.2 and 5.9. My questions is Arn't the headers the same up till 2000. I have a 99 R/t and would love to get a set of those for there price. My buddy has them on his 96 and really feels the difference. Well If they don't fit I have other plans. In November it goes into storage for awhile. BY the spring I hope to add the underdrive pullies, slicks, TB, and some new valve covers. Well I can hope anyway!

Stay away from the Summit/Flotech headers!!! I got a set and they were a nightmare!! THEY DO NOT FIT!!! I spent three days trying to get them on and trying to get them to bolt to my exhaust.No luck.I wound up sending them back and investing in a set of Ebelbrock headers.The edelbrocks were great! they practically installed themselves,however I wish I had sent them out to get Jet Hot coated first.While the 'brocks are stainless,they do attain a thin coat of rust that looks kinda uncool.With the coating, they should look new forever.
With the headers, Holly TB, hi-flo cat, flowmaster muffler my '97 sounds just like a Mustang for some reason.I'm gonna have to correct that major problem somehow!!!! hehehe!

Good info on the headers, thanks...I like the Edelbrocks too, glad you told me about Jet coating them.
I put Magnecor KV85 8mm wires on my Dak, the very best made.

I bought a brand new set of Mallory 8mm wires from a junk shop for the change I had in my pocket. 53 cents!!!! They were still in the box, just missing the coil wire and boots. I adapted my boots and bought a Taylor coil wire. This setup has worked great for me.
