I bought a 1991 dodge dakota sport 4X4, 5.2L V-8.
Love my truck but it just suck back the gas at the tune of about 10 mpg, can anyone help me out on this one?

I have 31 inch tires, is that my problem, or do i just need to get my computer reprogrammed?

Help, anyone!!

Don't press on the gas pedal so hard.

But really, I think everyone that owns a v8 complains about the gas. The only good fix would be to change out your rear end to a higher gear. This may give you 2-3 MPG. I have heard some people say that the K&N filters help a little.
There are computer program chips available but the ones designed to help gas mileage also kill your performance.

Hey,
I too have a 5.2 v8 4x4, but my milage has been from 17-19.7 lately. I have a K&N air filter in there and a I changed my spark plugs to the bosch platnum 4's. Also, A/C does take your milage away.

??Lifts??

I was wondering why I have NEVER EVER seen a lifted Dakota. Just seems strange since i've seen almost everything else lifted.

If anyone knows info about lifts for daks, or why they are so uncommon, feel free to enlighten me.

I had a 2001 Sport with a 4.7L that got 18.8
and my new 2001 SLT with a 4.7L is only
getting 15. What's up with that?
